Scaled To Nothing was made for the 2024 GMTK Game Jam. The theme was “Built to Scale”, so I designed the main mechanic around scaling objects to solve puzzles.

Controls: Use WASD or arrow keys to move. When you're close to objects, hold left click on the white squares and drag to scale them (some can also be moved).

Known Issues: The mechanic for scaling objects has some issues.  If you get an object stuck, try moving the character and/or cursor around (sometimes away from the white squares, and see how they light up as to whether they'll work).

The level transitions were really smooth! I appreciated the arrows on the ground to tell me where to go. I also really liked how the mechanic was used in more out of the box ways by scaling the player and the entire level. Really cool stuff. I'd like to see more using the creative scaling in the future.

Thanks so much!

You could make the game much longer. Ending was sick though. Puzzles could very easily happen, but you just didn't take the chance. 3/5

Thanks! Agreed, I definitely should've expanded on the levels and the puzzling.

Well done, although, it is very buggy. Would like to see the concept expanded further.

Thanks! I agree it is quite buggy, unfortunately.

The concept is cool and i really like the revelation at the end! I bet this would make a really fun game if it was expanded :D

Thank you!

Thanks!
